If you’re reading this, congratulations for taking this step in recovery! We understand that seeing a dietitian may be unfamiliar and scary, but we’re here to help. What is a dietitian?

A registered dietitian is someone who specializes in nutrition, received at minimum a bachelor’s level degree, and completed a dietetic internship. Registered Dietitians (RD) are credentialed through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. We are experts in food and nutrition and understand the complex relationship of food intake and overall physiological health.

How can we help?

We create individualized meal plans tailored to meet your needs. We focus on helping our clients sift through misinformation that is readily available in the media by providing you with scientific based information to support your recovery. Nutrition counseling typically includes education on metabolism, hunger and fullness cues, the science of appetite, macro and micro nutrients, brain-gut connection, and may also include any other areas of interest for you.

We work alongside you to help you work through challenging foods and food related situations by including hands-on exposures and skill building. Our job is to focus on food related behaviors to allow time for your therapists to focus on underlying issues.
